Charging Infrastructure Masterplan for Rwanda
GreenBee co-developped an EV Charging Infrastructure Masterplan in Rwanda, funded by the European Commission and executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure Rwanda and Ginger Sofreco. This initiative not only contributes to reducing carbon emissions and enhance environmental sustainability but also to stimulating economic growth through the development of electric mobility infrastructure and associated business models.
This comprehensive project involved articulating EV-adoption scenarios, mapping suitable charging sites, defining station types, assessing public readiness, and evaluating the technical capacity of repair workshops. While it’s impossible to predict the exact number of vehicles in ten years, our strategy ensures that the energy and transport systems can effectively respond to various growth scenarios. The deliverables included a digitalized map of charging stations, a comprehensive financing report, technical analyses, regulatory analyses and recommendations, and impact assessments.
